The Business: Spreadex
Spreadex is one of the most successful spread betting firms in the UK, with a turnover in 2011 of over £23 million. Having commenced business in 1999, it is the only company to offer financial spread betting, sports spread betting and fixed odds betting all from one account. Spreadex was listed in the Sunday Times PriceWaterhouseCoopers Profit Track 100 for three years in succession.
Spreadex came to us because they wanted someone who could build them a bespoke fully interactive Facbook page. They realised the potential of tapping into Facebook’s social features to try and promote organic growth for their business.
People were more likely to interact with their business within the comfort of familiar surroundings i.e. Facebook.
The product we developed was an FSA approved Facebook website. The main function of the mini-site was to capture leads. And that is exactly what it has been geared towards. However, our custom design allowed the page to be much more than a single usage application.
We enabled the site to pull in all their latest news, tweets and even videos. This gave fans of their page a reason to engage and keep coming back. That in turn gave SpreadEx more visibility and better organic growth.
